Fonon Nunghe is a communication professional, creative storyteller and researcher based in Vancouver, British Columbia. He is also comfortable writing about himself in third person.
Fonon has worked on a variety of impactful projects; from managing marketing campaigns for Parkinson Wellness Projects to participating in research to bridge the gap in equity in cultural policy. He led the video production on advertising campaigns for Simon Fraser University’s school of computing science, and in doing so, has built a strong reputation as a reliable team-player.
In a time of sensationalism and virality, compelling and informative pieces that go beyond pandering and evoking responses are rare to come by, but they stand out not by the numbers, but on the merit of authenticity. Fonon sets himself apart by being nothing but himself in his approach to professional and creative writing, as well as videography.
Outside work Fonon enjoys playing sports, watching movies, reading and keeping misguided hope that the Washington Wizards will one day end his suffering by having a competitive basketball team.
Fonon earned a Masters degree in Communication from Royal Roads University in Victoria, British Columbia, and a Bachelors degree in Philosophy and Communication from Hope College in Holland, Michigan, where he was the recipient of the Jellema scholarship and Mulder-Miller scholarship awards. He also participated in a Digital Communication and Media Technology study program in Milan through IES Abroad.
