Equity in Cultural Policy is a community-based research which explores the strategies employed by Indigenous, Black, and racialized cultural entrepreneurs in Western Canada to contribute to social good and community-building with their art. Their experiences are critical for the making of a more inclusive cultural policy in Canada.

As a Research Assistant on this project for two years, I transcribed and thematically coded hours of interviews and was involved in the planning and development of the research design and methodology. I worked through past studies, sifted through theoretical frameworks, and got acquainted with relevant literature.

It was an exceptionally rewarding experience.
